Marci Czel

I just read that Marci's mother, Jeanne, died on July 23, apparently of cancer. She was 67. Many of you might remember that Marci's brother Erik, age 22, died suddenly during Marci's sophomore year and many of the players and staff attended his funeral. Marci is now married to Julie Blitzer-Czel and lives in New York.

I remember meeting her mother a few years ago along with Marci on Block Island. A very lovely person. May the 'Divine Light' shine upon her.

I always enjoyed watching Marci play ball! Great kid! Hopefully she'll get through this rough patch!
