I'm not going to make any comments on the relevance of this or the methodology in which it was calculated but just presenting it since UConn is rated very highly. You have to read the explanation before commenting.
This is NOT a prediction of how teams will perform in the tournament based on their composition this year. In fact, this data has virtually nothing to do with how the team has performed so far this year. I want to make that very clear.
Instead, it's a look back at how some of the big-name teams have performed in the previous six NCAA Tournaments, and how that data translates into a confidence index — in other words, how confident you should be about a certain team's performance in the tourney based on how it's done in the recent past.
