That's awful. Hopefully it's not an ACL but it sure sounds like it

And we have two open scholarships. Front court depth already an issue and season just started.

Yep. And rebounding has been a big issue, something Diarra was known for doing well and he mentioned repeatedly that he would concentrate on rebounding to earn playing time.

I was worried this might happen and was really hoping it wouldn't.

he can redshirt as long as Diallo comes next year. Was Diarra a stretch here or did we offer him because of diallo?

He was ranked higher than Facey or Enoch by ESPN.

Diallo probably had something to do with the offer, but Diarra wasn't a reach by any means. 247 has him ranked #126 in the composite rankings, and he ended up in ESPN's top 100.

No, he is the type of rugged rebounder we seem to never have.

This is terrible news. Now we're stuck with a big man rotation of Brimah, Enoch, Facey, and a not 100% ready Durham. Just disastrous.

The coaching staff ought to bring in Jake Voskul to teach these big man how to set a pick and get rebounds. Heck I wish he had another year left because he had more heart then the big men there now.

Ok, missed the "by ESPN." Just looked, Diarra was a grade of 82 by ESPN. Facey 82 and Enoch 81. Brimah was a 70 for reference. Carlton an 80, Durham 85 and Rock Lubin a 70.

Umm, no. He wasn't even top 100, both Facey and Enoch were top 75, Enoch top 60.

Or Josh Boone. I always remember announcers talking about how difficult it was for opponents to move his big butt out of the way.

dude just had a huge frame and shoulders, something Brimah has obviously lacked. Brimah looks like a cartoon character, he will never be a bruising banger down low... Enoch however is a big big boy

Durham reminds me of the Marcus White body type, looks less explosive though clearly. Some guys have to be crafty and slide by the box outs, others are just blessed with a massive frame that can hold off a mob

This is a shame. It's time to lengthen Enoch's leash though. No more 2 quick fouls then bench for the remainder of the game. We need to develop him as fast as possible.

The shorter the rotation, the better, for now. There is no chemistry in a 10 man rotation. Facey needs to sit as well. And purvis should be playing much less.

agree but what if he gets the 2 fouls within entering the game - that does happen

Of course you can bench him in that scenario, but not like Northeastern where you basically hold a grudge based off of that, and only give him 4 total minutes. He is now our only big who can score without a lob or clear path to the hoop.
