BYU was the Silas game, he was huge in that game and made the big plays down the stretch but Silas has struggled since then and it's been all about Malachi. Neither point guard did anything against Kansas but Malachi has a combined 26 assists with 3 turnovers against Arizona, Illinois, and Florida which is pretty unheard of from a point guard let alone a backup point guard.

Big Eric averaged 11 ppg, 65% fg, 5.3 rebs, 1.5 blocks against Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, and Florida who have serious frontcourts with a lot of size.

These two players have been invaluable in our big games so far.

With a slightly stronger lower body, Reibe could be an All-American next year. If you watched the FIBA games, he showed ball handling ability reminiscent of Danny Wolf -- able to take slower defenders off the dribble at 7 feet. He hasn't shown that yet here, but he's close to having the most complete offensive game of any big we've ever had here.

And he's already grown by leaps and bounds as a defender in less than two months.

That last statement is what makes me also excited to seeing him going forward. I was worried about having a starting center next season but no more. Eric was thrown right into the fire immediately against top competition due to Reed's injury and he more than passed the test.

Now I can go back to worrying about the PG slot.

That euro and the 3 point shot vs Illinois are my favorite Malachi highlights so far. Exciting player who I was a bit worried about earlier. Now, Silas needs to pick up his game.

That euro at the end was filthy

Silas should learn from this. Drive and create, not just drive to score. At Georgia he was that guy that must score. When Tristan let the game come to him and let distribution led his game, it opened up his scoring abilities

I refer to Big Eric is Ribeye. It took me a while to learn how to say and spell his last name...but I'm just sticking with Ribeye.
I first thought of him as Eric the Red (father of Leif Erikson) but then I just settled on Eric the Giant. Wildly impressed by both
he and Malachi. Wonderful start to this season despite a number of obstacles but now that we will be settling into the regular season I expect the staff to put their collective talent together into reassessing and making modifications as necessary. This is where our staff will really shine. They have the talent in players needed to make the rest of the season a long string of nightmares for our opponents.

Depth can win chips especially our 6th and 7th guys

I would just like to see Reibe mix it up at times and move towards the rim on after an offensive rebound. Everything seems to be fading away at least a bit.

Demary should be back next season so PG likely won’t be a big concern.

That drive to the hoop into the Florida trees, getting blocked handily, had 90% of the chat room wanting Malachi sent quickly to Providence.

Danny Wolf? Where'd he go to school?

It did? I never thought of Tristan as a drive and dish guy. Most of his assists were off of lobs off the PNR or hitting guys coming off screens to jumpers. When Tristan went to the basket, he was looking to score and he usually did.
