Was looking at the Maggie Dixon winners (1st awarded in 2007) and realized it does not have a great prediction/track record., though they may be getting better

(Numbers below indicate percent of All and Conference games that they won in D1)
Bold = active D1 head coach

07 K. Klbrn-Stevesky (52%/48%) -- 10 yrs at Hofstra, then left coaching
08 Jeff Walz -------------------- only unqualified success on the list
09 Kelly Packard (46/45) -------- 4 yrs at Ball St resigned/dropped to NAIA for 4 yrs, then retired
10 Teresa Weatherspoon (58/64) -- 6 yrs at LaTech then fired
11 Stephanie Glance (51/51) ----- 3 yrs at Ill St, hired by Columbia, resigned after 2 years
12 Jennifer Hoover (47/34) ------ 1 year at High Point, hired by Wake Forest, fired after 10 years
13 Holly Warlick ---------------- no bio needed
14 Billie (Godsey) Chambers ----- 11 years at Iona, hired by Xavier, 1 disastrous year (so far)
15 Lisa Fortier (81/88)---------- 10 yrs at Gonzaga, prob #2 after Walz
16 Joni Taylor ------------------ a few ok years at Georgia & TAMU
17 Shauna Green (69/77) --------- 6 yrs at Dayton, hired by Illinois 2 yrs ago
18 Bart Brooks (76/88) ---------- 7 yrs at Belmont
19 Carlos Funches (54/72) ------- 5 yrs at Southern
20 Amaka Ag.-Hamilton (70/65) --- 3 yrs at MoSt, hired by VA 2 yrs ago
21 Kyra Elzy -------------------- no bio needed
22 Kellie Rae Finley (57/42) ---- 3 yrs at Fla
23 Shawn Poppie (73/79) --------- 2 yrs at Chatt, just hired by Clemson
24 Kim Caldwell (78/93) --------- 1 yr at Marshall, just hired by Tenn

8 coaches got hired away, but 2 of those didnt succeed at the tougher jobs & the other 6 are TBD
5 coaches stayed at their OG school and were fired/resigned and never had another D1 job
Brooks & Funches would seem strong contenders for new jobs

It is hard to judge by a first year. Of course, and interestingly, if you think about it you could say it is also unfair to judge folks by their first year. There are so many factors at play.

I'm going to admit that a few of them I'm not particularly familiar. If anyone didn't recognize the name, Stephanie Glance was Kay Yow's Associate Head Coach.
