Australian Bill Morgan, a truck driver, was in a horrific accident. While he was being treated, he had an alergic reaction to one of his medicines. His heart stopped for 14 minutes! The doctors managed to get his heart restarted but he was comatose. His doctors advised his family to "pull the plug" and let him die. Twice!!! Considering his heart stopped for so longer, severe brain damage was a certainty. After 12 days he awoke from the coma with no apparent brain damage. Reevaluating his life. He stopped driving a truck. He decide to marry his longtime girlfriend. Then he bought a scratch lotto ticket and won a car. The local news got wind of his story and decide to run his story. Part of the story was to reenact his scratch ticket purchase for the cameras and reporters. All went swimmingly until he scratched off his ticket showing he had just won $250,000 Australian. Now he and his wife can buy the house they always wanted. See the video below for his reaction. Poor (?) man looked like his heart was about to give out again. For his reaction go to the 0:50 mark and watch.

That is a heck of a story. It was more than twenty years ago. Wonder how he fared since then .
