Posters who are reporting third hand information from unverified sources. The school hasn't, nor likely will confirm or deny anything. Not saying it isn't possible, but without verifiable proof, it still has to be considered speculation.
All you have to do is put 2 and 2 together. Flaujae moms post was pretty straightforward in what was going on.

Based on Mulkey's demeanour when asked, I doubt we'll ever know for sure if it's a suspension. It will always be speculation unless Mulkey or Reece decide to talk, regardless how many games.
I do find it interesting she didn’t call it a suspension but had no issue letting the world know Gusters and Morris were suspended when they got in trouble.

The timing of this doesn’t seem to be about grades. She all of a sudden gets benched at halftime and then asked to not be with the team the following game. Something tells me it’s an attitude/effort/behavior issue behind the scenes and Kim doesn’t want her back until she makes the changes needed for reese herself and for the program.

If it’s hypothetically about her grades, well it’ll eventually come out Eventually but this seems to be something else.

Anyways if major changes/attitude adjustments are needed it’s gotta happen now because if this happened during SEC play….

I was skeptical of the “academic problem” explanation when I first heard it. However, the longer this goes on, the more likely that explanation is accurate.

If this was just a “behavior” issue, I would think a 1 game suspension would get Kim’s message across to Reese. But if Reese has blown off classes and is in danger of being put on academic probation, the remedy may involve a more sustained set of actions to get her academic performance in line with school requirements.
Then she would have been suspended at the beginning of the season, not at halftime of a game. The semester isn't even over, so how would she be suspended for current grades?

Coaches get academic progress reports on their players throughout the year. I have no idea what Reese’s major is, but it is not uncommon for many college course grades to consist of a midterm, some kind of research paper and a final. In such instances, the coaching staff might not be aware that a player was at risk academically until some time in November.

Sitting her at the half of the Kent St game was certainly about her effort on the court. But if it was just about effort, Reese would have been with the team, perhaps sitting on the bench for the last game. So either Reese demonstrated bad behavior, that caused her to be left off the last road game, or perhaps there is a larger issue that has just cropped up with grades.

My point is simply that the longer she is out, the more likely it is that grades are the problem. Time will tell.

I believe the academic speculation is completely untrue. The timeline doesn't make sense for an academic suspension. Grades shouldn't come out until the semester ends in December. So if she's ineligible now, she should have been ineligible to start the season too.
Also her suspension seems to have begun at halftime of a game, which doesn't fit academic issue.

Still wouldn't have been benched at halftime for it.

See my fullly completed post above. I am suggesting the potential of multiple issues.

All you have to do is put 2 and 2 together. Flaujae moms post was pretty straightforward in what was going on.

Putting two and two together based off of tweets, that have also been deleted, doesn't mean it's accurate. People can make whatever assumptions they want based off of what's posted, but it's not fact unless it's confirmed. Hence why I said speculation.

We've gotten to a point in today's age of media, where assumptions are made off of one or two posts, a rumour here and there, only to learn that it may not be the full story in the end. Until someone who is directly involved decides to speak up about it we'll never know the truth.

I'm not here to defend Reese, Mulkey or anyone else on the program. My concern is that we're discussing a lot of things and treating it as fact when there's no proof. This thread should be treated as a discussion based on speculation which would be completely fair based on the situation.

You ae right, nothing has been proven as fact but Flaujae mom is involved in the program and it's no coincidence that she posted it after the game Angel was benched in. It is my belief that she was benched and suspended for behavior detrimental to the team.

Your final sentence is my point exactly. We're all going off of our personal beliefs based on what we've read or seen reported. And there's nothing wrong with that from my view but proper context matters.

Stephen A. Smith is pretty much agreeing that it's behavioral. I like his take and his advice. I hope Angel receives it.
