Really bizarre especially after they fought so hard down the stretch to extend the game. And Joyce Edwards is not a good FT shooter.

Vic probably made that call. I’ve been disappointed in his lack of composure during their losses and his postgame over the top criticism of his players as they sit next to him. It’s not as if they were blown out of the gym against a bad team on the road!

Given the gambling element in sports and news recently with men's college basketball, does anyone know what the point spread was for that South Carolina/Texas game?

If you look at the box score, Texas was 1 for 9 on 3pt shots. When watching the fourth quarter of that game, in SC's arena TEX couldn't make a jump shot to save their lives. All of the scoring was at the rim or via free throws. Even if Edwards was fouled and missed both FTs, it was highly unlikely that TEX would be able to get the final rebound and make a long jump shot to tie the game. Vic chose to keep the MOV from looking like a two or more score loss.
Their best three point shooter also fouled out.

But to attack this from a different angle, I think Rori was first trying for a steal and then trying to foul Edwards but her momentum was taking her the wrong direction. By the time she recovered, I think she made a split second decision that too much time had come off the clock and waved the white flag.

I'm pretty sure I saw Vic making a motion as soon as his players received the inbound
pass. I was sure he was saying to her and the team...'don't foul'. It is way curious.
In his postgame pressers did anyone ask him about this?

Texas -2.5. Not really worth betting the spread, or the moneyline.,.. unless combining in a parlay. At least that's what a buddy told me 😐

South Carolina -3.5

That's...interesting.
