Love the DePaul coach!

I thought he was doing a good job with his team. He has them playing hard and they seemed to be disciplined. I believe he will turn them into something in a year or two.

Coaching intensity is an interesting phenomenon. Generally, it wears if the foot is gas peddle to the floor all the time. It’s a trait that works best at the right times. It’s an art not a science.

Nah. He reminded me of the kid that Jeff Bridges tried to intimidate in the Big Lebowski.
Is this your homework Larry?

Gonna be real, thought their talent was better than their record. How many games did JFL miss?

Here's a little noticed fact. DePaul used to play it's home schedule at (what was originally called) the Horizon Center, very close to O'Hare Airport. They now play in the city just south of Soldier Stadium near McCormick Place. It makes DePaul much more accessable to the powerhouse high schools on the south side. It makes them part of the community rather than a suburban team. And they are now a easy CTA ride from almost anywhere in the city. I think this will pay dividends going forward.

I noticed that also. Didn’t panic. Coached like he knew his team was gonna make the run they did. He’s like that every game.

I remember him when he coached with Cronin at Cincinnati
He was highly respected at Oregon and the players loved his knowledge and intensity
He will do very well at DePaul
He does what he does and Dan Hurley does what he does - no 2 coaches are alike

Ok boys, just remember if DePaul gets really good, we might have a few more conference losses

For the high basketball IQ crowd that thinks we should win every game, that might be tough to handle

Post/handle?
(I've always wondered)

he was responsible for mick's best recruiting classes namely sean kilpatrick and lance stephenson. then oregon threw a big bag at him and you saw the players he landed there. i think he's proven to be a better floor coach then anticipated...then again he wasn't really asked to do much of it at oregon because of how good of a recruiter he is.

Looking like a good hire for the league. Not sure what kind of budget Depaul has. Probably not big enough to be good each year, but they shouldn't be the doormat of the league each year. It would be nice to see them back in the tournament within a few years. Maybe even win a game.

Source just confirmed with Inside the Portal that 4-star Judah Mintz has committed to #Depaul. Expect an announcement sometime soon.

Gotta love this!!!

Just rewatched the game, huddle under 8 timeout:

“Look for the shooters, 12 Tyler Polley, RJ Cole….number 0 ain’t gonna shoot…(fox cuts)”

……he’s right
I heard that. Exactly right
