Re point guard, I always find it hard to compare players using stats and honors, since so much of that depends on who they are playing with and who the competition is. Certainly the stats make it close, but, to me, Sue Bird, even as a collegian, ran the show like nobody before or since. I never thought players like Mo and Renee had the same awareness of their teammates as Sue did, does. When I'm able to see her play , with no exaggeration, I focus on her and how she orchestrates things. I have always been fascinated with her coolness ,control, and, most of all, her vision.
