[QUOTE="Los24, post: 2505381, member: 7629"] This has been a great discussion. I have not had had time to participate as I would like to this year even though I have read plenty, but wanted to chime in because I always thought parts of KLS' game were under appreciated such as her passing (would lead in assists if hockey rules applied) and ball handling. This year you see a big improvement in defense, which also means having very few fouls and much much less than rest of starters/key reserves. I always had put a premium on KLS' scoring because I think that she can score better outside the flow of the offense more than any other player on the team while also having the most diversity. Many of the teams players high percentage comes on lay ups and open cuts. When the team becomes stagnant on offense I always think give the ball to KLS... I also think that we should not discount her game because there are other capable players on the team. I mean Mo, Tuck and even KML took over games that Stewie played in. No player wins on their own and rarely no player wins championships without other very good players on the team. That said, this is UConn and I need to see something(s) special in March from KLS to consider the Mount... meaning taking over games and in spots like Maryland last year or ND this year before getting hurt. Like Stewie her freshman year. When there is a sense of panic or loss of confidence by the team and she says I got this!!! It is hard for her to show because the amount of close games and spots are limited with how good this team is... I thought her and Gabby showed the most heart in the Miss St game/loss. I thought that game was an opportunity to step up more but physically she struggled against MSST. I also believe she took it to heart and it shows how she came in this season. But 2 more championships is also required because great players do not lose with the amount of talent she has around her. (On a side note I would consider Mo Jefferson. 4 championships. Her overall game was unbelievable her Junior and Senior seasons. Defense was tenacious, could get to the rim against anyone, became a very good outside shooter and ran the offense like a PG should.)
