Jeremy Lamb: "When you go against a press, it's good to have ball-handlers - quick guards. and that's what we've got." With Louisville pressing, maybe the Huskies can finally start penetrating instead of passing around the perimeter and playing conservative. Looks like they're going with the same three-guard approach as they did Saturday. With Boat at the point, hopefully Bazz and Lamb can find their shot. And with Olander starting at the 4 spot, it'll give a good opportunity for Boat to pass inside against the 2-3 zone, passing some of the game onto the big men.

No question we're the better team from a talent point of view. Are we the better team from a chemistry point of view has yet to be seen. Thoughts on tonight?

Olander's pretty key from my perspective in this one. Not only does he have the potential to be a zone-buster, but he's the only big I trust to help break the press. He's got good hands and can make the passes while being pressured.

Well, this is the fourth straight year that UConn has had to play at Louisville. (How does that happen?)

The last three visits have ended poorly - easy Louisville wins.

Given that UConn is heading into a spot where they have not played well and that they're going there without Jim Calhoun, I suspect tonight will not go well. They need to keep contact with UL - no dropping ten points back and then trying to rally.

UConn is +4 tonight - I think they'll have to be very, very good to cover, let alone win.

If the refs are calling it tight, uconn has a decent chance for the upset.

If UL is allowed to poke and grind (not sure where that came from), I expect to see a lot of uconn turnovers and a loss.

I'm to lazy to look it up, but i thought we killed Louisville with Thabeet in 2009. I still remember Samuels being to afraid to shoot....

Totally unrelated, but I just realized your avatar is Gene Wilder...and for that, I salute you.

Nah, we lost both games to UL in 2009-10 - I think we lost the away game by about 12-15.

If I remember correctly, Blaney coached that game as well!

(EDIT - I looked it up. We did lose in 09-10 at UL without Calhoun. Went back another year and you're right...we won by 17 the season prior.)

Tonight is going to be tough. Not a fun place to play on the road and Lville is on a roll and playing pretty well as a team. We will have to pick it up to a level we have not really done yet this year to beat them at home.

I am assuming WE ARE DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We might catch another break tonight. G Dieng may not play or may not be as effective because of a sprained ankle.
