thus I prefer the 9 over the 10 seed for us. Three spots are locked up according the league home, 1, 7 & 16.

although I like playing at night as opposed to 12 noon, I think S Hall would be a better 2nd round match-up for us. No real difference between DePaul & Prov, if we can't beat either of them, we don't deserve NCAA consideration

of course playing Marq might be better than playing Cuse on Thurs, but I just want the easiest path to two wins

I'll concede it's sad I have to think like that

UL is a bad matchup for uconn.
I'd like to play Cuse on Thursday.

We are due for a win against them.

who wins the tiebreakers between the hall, west virginia and uconn?

We win a tiebreaker with WVU, so we need them to lose to USF. The only way we tie with Seton Hall is if they lose to DePaul.

LVille doesn't scare me more than our team does. We can play with and against anyone.

I know what you're saying, but how can you not want to see UConn face the team they beat by 30 as opposed to the team they just lost to? Just because we should beat both teams doesn't mean they would. I agree with what you're saying here, I'm just thinking DePaul vs. Providence is exactly why we want the 9 seed and not the 10.

As long as it's not at the YUM Center, they have a shot against Louisville. Haven't fared too well there so far.

Lville has not been playing well recently. 2-3 over their last 5 with a 3 point home win over Pitt and beating DePaul in OT.

UConn can beat either Seton Hall or Lville, or they could lose to either by 20.

At this point I don't care who we play because I have no clue what to expect from our guys.

I disagree. For openers, MSG is a neutral site. Secondly, I would hope our kids don't look past PC or let them back into the game next time. At the end of the day, 15th seeded PC which is 4-13 in league play is just a bad basketball team. If we can't beat them, why even worry about the tourny?

I do concur DePaul is worse, and I would rather play them, especially if it means we get SH on Wed

Fair enough. I'm just looking from the perspective of "just trying to get this team into the NCAAs" while you're trying to see them play like they deserve the NCAAs. I'd like to see them play like they deserve it, but I'm not sure it'll happen anytime soon. Wins vs. DePaul and Providence are roughly equally useless for our resume, so I'd rather face the one with the lower risk of a terrible loss. I'd like to think that Providence isn't as much of a threat away from the Dunk too, but I wouldn't want to take that chance, if we have the option...
