Interesting development. Four quick thoughts and a long-term question:

I think it's that superior elite teams/coaches can scheme to shut down one player and Ionescu is a huge part of Oregon's offense. It's been like that for what's now 4 years. Walz had his own player in McCaughtry and UConn would focus on her and always beat Louisville.

I've always thought that Hebard was better at the 4. As a freshman she was outstanding but she's not at her best against bigger/taller centers.

100% agree. Many don't like him for that Baylor game but there is a difference between being physical and being dirty. He doesn't get a lot of scorers but great defense is more hard work than great talent.

3 games in 3 days often leads to poor outside shooting. Oregon missed a lot of wide open 3's today. IMO they are still the best team but not the dominant power some thought.[/QUOTE]
