Can someone explain Katie Lou's WNBA suspension? Something to do with playing overseas. Don't understand the specifics.

I believe the WNBA has instituted a new rule that penalizes (suspends) players whose oversea play causes them to miss the beginning of the WNBA season. A bad idea, in my humble opinion but, there it is.

Lou is back in California. Not sure if she plays in Tuesday's game at the Crypt vs Minnesota.
The suspension is a technicality and not a punishment, for this year. Next year is different.
