but their winning streak as been against SEC competition, which certainly is a mitigating factor. Not as bad as those Gonzaga teams running the table in their conference year after year before their competition improved, but in the same vein

TN was the 2 seed in the SEC, and they're called a bad loss in this neck of the woods

I think they're good, it's just that superstar status I question

They beat St. Johns, Louisville, and North Carolina.
They're very good.
Their only limitation is their experience level.
Talent compensates for lack of experience, just like experience compensates for lack of talent.
In Kentucky's case, they have so much talent they have a good shot of going all the way notwithstanding mistakes that occur because of experience.

The best bet to beat them, in my opinion, is to attack the point guard, because he's the one who's going to be most likely to choke under pressure.

I am going to nitpick an otherwise very good post because that's just the type of person I am. St. Johns sucks, worse than 2009-10 bad. As much as people want to dump on the SEC, Vandy and UF are solid squads and teams like Bama and Miss. St. are at least NCAA worthy.

UK is the prohibitive favorite, and that sucks. Even Teague has made improvements throughout the year.

Since it looks like Uconn is going to be a 9 seed, assuming we can win our 1st round game, the one seed that I do not want to see is UK. All the 1 seeds are tough obviously. They won't stick us in Cuse bracket. So we are likely to be in with UK, UNC or whoever the last one is. I am OK with any of those. Can Uconn beat UK? yes. But I'd rather face one of the others before them.

I think UK is best team in about 3 years, since 2008-2009, when there were 4 or 5 really elite teams (unc, uconn, pitt, louisville, msu).

Davis looks like a massive force inside, but I just can't get over how thin he is. I'm sorry but in the NBA, he's going to get bodied out of position. He would have struggled a bit in the old BE against kids like Blair and Bryant, etc.

I really didn't pay attention to see how Tennessee's Stokes did against him, but Stokes has the kind of body to get right into him and cause trouble.

Lamb and Jones are still the key's for that team, IMO, because Gilchrist and Teague seem inconsistent and can disappear at any time.

I have a funny feeling Mr Drummond will make it a personal challenge with Davis and at the very least neutralize him. The rest is up to the sophs.

I'm not saying it's a walk in the park but I would not be surprised if we won.

Well Prezidint you are wrong. This Kentucky team is nowhere near as talented and as super as the media and the recruiting analysts will lead you to beleive. Thieir players are mostly average role players who lack great athleticism, and shooting ability you need to win. If you had watched today's game against Vandy they should have blown out Kentucky. When you have a dominant post player like Ezeli, great perimeter players like John Jenkins and JeffTaylor, and not to mention that it seems almost all of their players are good to great drivers to the basket its a surprise this Vandy team has not been a dominant team this year in the country.

Kentucky players are very overrated and not as talented as their recruiting rankings indicate. They are all role players in generals with the exception of Anthony Davis, and Darius Miller who is their best offensive player. There is nothing to fear from this team or UNC or any team in the country because their is no team that is clearly above everyone else.

P.S. I have no problems being a 8 or 9 seed. Put us on Kentucky's side of the bracket so we can wipe the floor with them in the second round of the tournament. This is our time and UCONN is ready to play.

FEAR THE BROW. Do not make the brow angry. You wouldn't like to see him angry.
