When does the spring recruitment period start? We have no shot at Parker unless/until Drummond announces he's going into the NBA.

Tony Parker has now added UConn to his list of potential landing spots.

“[Huskies coach Jim] Calhoun called me recently,” Parker told CBSSports.com. “I’ll sit down with my dad. They’re one of his favorite schools.”

This is very interesting. I really, really like this kids game. He already has good post moves and has great hands. The staff has been recruiting this kid forever, before he blew up but very inconsistently for some reason.

Parker is pretty tight with AO, right? hopefully AO can do some recruiting, although ultimately I think our fate with all the guys signing in the spring rests with the NCAA's ruling on what APR scores are going to be submitted because if we're going to be barred from the tourney next year getting a Parker or Obepka is going to be impossible considering who else is after them.

What do you base this on? Parker will probably make his decision before AD makes his.

I read an article that the Weasel spent three hours meeting with this kid and has made him a main target so Duke will be in the mix. This would be a real coup if we could get him especially given some of those who have recently dropped us. We need to stay on the list of these top players and get our share and we will be in great shape.

I would also like to see us have a shot at Shabazz Muhammad. We are not on his final list but I am hoping that Coach Ollie can somehow get involved and steal him from Duke or Kentucky. He would be a great replacement for Lamb at 6' 6" and an unbelievable athlete.

I was under the assumption he was a higher ranked prospect than he is. I thought he was top 10, a one-and-done type. I just assumed if that were true, that he wouldn't want to come here and ride the bench, which he would do if AD comes back. If he's not planning on being a one-and-done, we have a shot.

I think UConn is recruiting his brother, but no mention of recruiting him. I think I read that somewhere here before.

Shabazz Muhammad is not the type of recruit that is attracted to UConn. We rarely find ourselves in the mix with the ready-for-prime-time recruits like Muhammad. It's the Jeremy Lamb's of the recruiting world that believe they need a coach like JC who will push them toward greatness.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to land a talent like SM, but rarely does JC spend a lot of time recruiting a kid that flirts with the who's who of high major hoops with the intent of going to one of 2 to 3 schools usually named UK, UNC and Dook.
