Interesting details from the list of home opponents:

In addition to our customary season ticket package offerings in Gampel Pavilion and XL Center, we will be playing one women's game and one men's game off‐campus at another in‐state venue. Specific dates and sites will not be determined until the release of our schedule by the Conference office. We will endeavor to identify games which occur when classes at the university are not in session. To provide our fans with the most flexibility, these games will NOT be included in the Gampel or XL season ticket packages. However, current season ticket and donors will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets, prior to the general public. We are excited to create more opportunities for Husky fans to enjoy UConn Basketball in person.

Because seats are determined by how many priority points you have. If you wants the best seats you have to pony up. A lot.

oh, I got season tickets for both, so I'm guessing my seats will be garbage. I have 0 priority points I'm assuming since this is my first time buying season tix. Awesome. Knew I shoulda rethought that. Oh well. Just psyched to have season tickets for the first time ever.

Hartford, Gampel or both?

Gampel it doesn't matter but for Hartford you might have options. You'll be in the upper level, but they consider nose bleed in the middle to be a better seat than just halfway up a section or two over. Don't hesitate to call the ticket office to discuss it.

I bought both. Just want decent seats, not nose bleed. I mean, it's the first time I ever had season tickets and I just moved back to CT after living out of state for 7 years, so I'm psyched for whatever, but I don't want to be one of the first to get tickets and sit in the rafters.

Good thing about Gampel (among others) is no nosebleed...not so much with the XL. For Syracuse last year I ponied up $100 bucks to sit literally above the ceiling.

As someone who has sit in both places at the XL, I would certainly recommend corner seats/behind-the-basket seats that are closer to the floor.

Those seats were empty every game last year, we went straight there every game, sat by ourselves most games, except for Cuse and Ville. I suspect they'll be available this year too.

When I had nose bleed for season tickets in XL, I usually sat in the upper end zone student section.

I've always been lower at XL but I was in the second row from the top for Cuse (in a section full of their fans) and obviously the game was worth it but those seats were AWFUL. Straight ahead was a concrete support beam and I had to crane my neck down to actually see the court. I became a huge advocate for imploding the XL Center that night.

yea, gampel seems fine wherever, but after dropping over $1,000 on season tickets, I'd hope I'm not sitting in the rafters at XL, or even far at gampel for that matter. Guess I will just find out when my tickets arrive.

Well if I understood the email, you'll be given priority seating. So I assume you'll maybe get an actual chair at Gampel and will have fine seats at the XL. The seats I had for said game were unsold seats allotted to Cuse I picked up on StubHub, not part of a season ticket packet.

got it. I'm excited to find out. guess I can't complain. Lived in LA for 7 years so I'm just happy to be back and able to see these games live as opposed to having to buy ESPN3 to watch them all.

It took me 20 years to move to lower for XL. It also took me 20 years to Chairback at Gampel.

so I should assume as a first timer, that I may be sitting in a folding chair outside of the arena basically
No, your Gampel seats won't be horrible. But your Hartford seats might be really bad. But at most games in Hartford you can move to around in the upper bowl.

What you spend on season tix has nothing to do with your location. It is based solely on your accumulated priority points which are accrued through donations to the UConn Athletic Development Fund to the tune of 1 point per $100 donation. If you haven't been donating, bring kleenex for the nosebleeds.

If you have not done so already I would advise joining the UConn Club. I think you can join for $50. Start donating as best as you can afford to increase your point total.

Call the ticket office and tell them you want to sit as close to the court as possible and you will probably be OK. You won't be in the middle but you will be much closer than otherwise.

Looks like tix are $27 per game this year. What were they last year? I seem to remember $24.
