I know our team is apparently awful, but I'm still really looking forward to having a game Saturday. This weekend was such a drag without tailgating and football. In no particular order, here's what I really am psyched about:

1. Booing Randy Edsall
2. Getting there at 3:30, enjoying some nice weather, and getting the full four hours of tailgating + a full night's sleep = possible arrest?
3. If Whitmer plays badly, maybe we see Boyle? Could be fascinating.
4. We'll have a much better idea if this whole season is a dumpster fire or not.

Granted, I'm sure if we lose I'll be despondent, but honestly... even bad football is better than no football. Hey, maybe UConn Marketing can make that their new go-to!

I am excited about the ribbon boards. It is sad that a game that I've been looking forward to since Randy left has shifted to being a game that I'm excited to see ribbon boards. I'm sure I'll get fired up for the product on the field too once my Towson hangover lifts.

It will be hard for a lot of people to boo Edsall after witnessing what P has done to this program. I refuse to make a predicition on this game, but if I were forced to......this could be ugly.

Just my opinion, but I don't think we see Boyle until Buffalo the earliest. He may actually start that game if we go 0-3 and Whitmer continues to struggle. Putting Boyle in at home in either of these games is a tough spot for the kid.

Can we boo Edsall and HCPP? Will the young players be able to understand that we aren't booing them?

I'm mostly concerned that I can't tailgate properly since I'll be in the suite and will have to behave. :)

Not for me. Just cause my current girlfriend is awful doesn't mean I don't hate my ex, too! Plenty of hate to go around. It's a renewable energy source.

Looking . Forward as well. Checking out the field and ribbon boards and the new video monitor. All of the schools who lost to 1aa showed up more focused the second week. I hope we do the same. I really don't bellieve we are as bad as we played. The last two years we one the first and did poor later. Lets hope this season is the reverse. Would rather make out mistakes now than the end of the season. College football is all about when u lose more than who u lose to. I believe the team is close to clicking on all cylinders. Lets hope we see the team play well. If we dont win lets at least play well. If we lose 28-30. As long as the offense shows life to build on would be an improvement

I give the players credit; think they're well aware who the boos are for. . . .this from LA Times column on USC loss Saturday. Think it applies here (smaller scale). . ..

With waves of boos surrounding them from late in the first quarter until they walked off the field Saturday, the Trojans players are now feeling the brunt of the fans’ distaste for their coach. This was the worst and earliest expression of dissatisfaction by Trojan Nation in recent memory, and it was certainly the ugliest, and it was hard to blame them.

. . . .It added up to a night of ringing hostility that occasionally seemed to distract the players, but apparently never bothered their coach.
"You can’t worry about that, it is what it is," Kiffin said of the boos. "I think I heard those before the game started, in warmups, I’m getting used to it."
But should his players, college kids who really aren’t the target of the boos, have to get used to it?
"We’re getting used to playing on the road," Kiffin said with an odd, tiny grin.

They probably have free booze. The availability of liquor is not the issue. It is how much I can drink while behaving.

How the other half rolls behind the glass, Spack. The suite life

Really? Holy *T. I prefer to be down among the heathens and peasants in the external elements. To me, if I'm sitting up in those climate controlled boxes, I might as well be home on my couch in front of my TV. Free booze? That historically has only gotten me into great trouble.

I'm thinking if we keep the loss to under 20, it will be a moral victory. I would never root against UCONN, and everyone knew this year would be a challenge, but there will be nothing good that could come out of a craptastic year. It would make us that much less appealing to the big boys - and really it's just sad.
