Let’s take a quick look at the other conference tournaments at who plays who. The Big 12 is still playing season games. Will any of the higher conference seeds take an early tumble? We’ll see as the week goes on. -- The numbers are the schools conference seed.

ACC

#4 North Carolina plays the winner of #5 Virginia Tech/#12 Syracuse-#13 Clemson winner.
#1 NC State plays the winner of #8 Boston College vs. #9 Florida State.
#2 Louisville plays the winner of #7 Miami/#10 Duke-#15 Pittsburgh winner.
#3 Notre Dame plays winner of #6 Georgia Tech/#11 Wake Forest/Virginia winner.

Looks like NC State has the rougher road here. They have UNC to look forward to.

The BIG 10

#4 Maryland plays winner of #5 Indiana/#12 Penn State-#13 Rutgers winner.
#1 Ohio State plays winner of #8 Michigan State-#9 Purdue winner.
#2 Iowa plays winner of #7 Northwestern-#10 Minnesota winner.
#3 Michigan plays winner of #6 Nebraska/#11 Wisconsin-#14 Illinois winner.

Can Maryland pull off three wins here? I’m rooting for Iowa.

Southeastern Conference

#4 Ole Miss plays winner of #5 Florida vs. #13 Vanderbilt winner.
#1 South Carolina plays winner of #8 Arkansas vs. #9 Missouri winner.
#2 LSU plays winner of #7 Kentucky vs. #10 Mississippi State winner.
#3 Tennessee plays winner of #6 Georgia/ #11 Alabama-#14 winner.

First, I have to say go get them Shea. Then I think that SC has harder route.

The PAC 12

#4 Arizona plays winner of #5 Colorado vs. #12 Washington winner.
#1 Stanford plays winner of #8 Oregon State vs. #9 Arizona State winner.
#2 Oregon plays winner of #7 UCLA vs. #10 USC winner.
#3 Washington State plays winner of #6 Utah vs. #11 California winner.

I was surprised to see this tournament bracket. Stanford/Arizona rematch.

The BIG EAST

#4 DePaul plays #5 Marquette.
#1 UConn plays winner of #8 Providence vs. #9 Georgetown winner.
#2 Villanova plays winner of #7 St. John’s vs. #10 Xavier winner.
#3 Creighton plays winner of #6 Seton Hall vs. #11 Butler winner.

I believe that UConn is in the tougher section.

The BIG 12 - As mentioned games are still being played. But this is how the Top 8 look

#4 Texas would play #5 Kansas
#1 Baylor would play #8 Texas Tech
#2 Iowa State would play #7 West Virginia
#3 Oklahoma would play #6 Kansas State

To me it looks like Baylor has the harder task ahead if these standings hold up.

Predictions/thoughts

ACC:
Potential 4/5 game is compelling. Louisville/ND round 3 will be must see TV for UCONN fans considering how badly Louisville has throttled ND both times. Wouldn't be surprised if NC State loses in the semis. I think Louisville takes the crown.

Big Ten:
Maryland absolutely could win the championship. Indiana is struggling, they'd get a rematch vs Ohio State who they've beat and then play Iowa/Michigan for the title. I'm rooting for Iowa but think any of the top 5 have a shot. I still think Maryland is the best team when they're playing well. This should be by far the most competitive conference tournament.

SEC:
Kentucky vs. LSU could be a very good game in the quarterfinals. Kentucky seems to have righted the ship and LSU is likely without Morris. This would be a statement win for Kentucky to lock in a bid. Tennessee/Georgia is also an interesting QF game. If Tennessee drops it, are they off the 4 line? I think SC rolls. Only potential upset I see is vs. Ole Miss in the semis but I think Dawn win another SEC tournament title.

Pac 12:
How Arizona is projected a 3 seed when they're 4th in the Pac 12 doesn't make sense to me. Stanford should roll.

Big East:
I don't know the conference as well as most on here but predict UCONN beats everyone without much challenge.

Big 12:
Baylor is the clear cut best team right now. I think Texas poses a tougher challenge in the semis than either Iowa State/OU will pose in the finals. I think Baylor rolls.

Always some unpredictable results from conference tourneys. Rutgers-Penn St. looked like a pick em game. So of course the Scarlet Knights routed them by 25.

In the SEC, South Carolina went 15-1 averaging 71.7 ppg while holding opponents to 51.2 ppg, and averaging 48.9 rpg while holding SEC opponents to 31.3 rpg. They have shot at a 43.4% rate from the field while holding opponents to a rate of 32.5%, and shot 30.5% from behind the arc while holding opponents to 25.9%. South Carolina was 4th nationally and the highest ranked Power 5 team in Scoring Margin, and 1st nationally overall in Rebound Margin. They were 1st nationally in Field Goal Percentage Defense, and 25th nationally and 3rd-highest P5 team (after North Carolina and Texas) in 3-pt. FG % Defense.

Coach Staley has managed her roster all season long exactly for this time of the season: the postseason. To keep her starters fresh and healthy, while giving her reserves ample playing time and preparation for big games in big scenarios....

ACC - I'd like to see a NC State/Louisville match up again for the championship. A lot of interesting match ups at every position.

Big 10 - How many of us thought Ohio State would be the #1 seed at the tourney? They're playing much better at the right time. I know I underestimated them. I agree that it's a toss up with the top 5. This is the conference tournament I'm most interested in.

SEC - Haven't paid as much attention to this conference this year. Really curious to see if Tennessee can have a good run and figure out how to play without Horston. And how will their post players do? I don't think they can put all the weight on Key, especially if she gets in foul trouble.

PAC 12 - Agree that Stanford should take it. I'm also interested to see how Oregon does. I get a Jeykll-Hyde feeling when I watch them play.

Big East - Looking forward to seeing more of Aneesha Morrow during the tournament. I hope DePaul plays well. UConn will definitely win and they're getting better every game. Scary thought.

Big 12 - Iowa State's post position play concerns and confuses me. I can see them in the finals, but what adjustments are they going to make, especially after their loss to Baylor?

Of course that's not my preferred matchup.. but that's probably the best one for the ACC and WBB as a whole. That could go down among the best ACC championship games of recent memory. I prefer Duke vs Clemson...
