This logo catches the true essence of a husky. My neighbor had a Siberian. When you looked him straight in the face, you saw those menacing eyes with the devious smile. You never were quite sure if he was happy to see you, or if he wanted to bite your face off. This logo catches that thought perfectly.

It's not horrible but it's not great either. I had a feeling that they weren't going to keep it an all-white husky, which immediately irritates the heck out of me. It should at least be consistent with Jonathan from a color concept. Uggh...

My feelings exactly. Every Jonathan since Jonathan II has been all white, it's tradition. It's also what distinguishes our logo from every other school with a Husky mascot. Messing with that is the one thing that would have made me unhappy with the redesign and lo and behold that's what they did. Other than that issue, I like the design.

Hate to disagree with such a dedicated fan but this does not look anything like a Husky. As a life long dogger and two of them Huskies this is simply a logo that is no more a Husky than that of the Atlanta Falcons' Falcon.

This looks like an over inflated football with a jaw and pointed ears. That and throw in some eye makeup. I do not like it one bit but I will wear it loud and proud because it is what I do. Susan dropped the ball promising something that looked more like a Husky but I will be fine for years as my old apparel wears out.

First I like it way better then the one we have now but I was always someone who wore the name of the school as opposed to the mascot on my clothes. But I think the history of the Uconn Mascot change is very similar to the UW Husky change up until this one.

I did a google search of "Husky" and first pictures returned looked a lot like our new logo.

It looks like a clone of nearly every other Nike-designed team "identity" (see new Cal Bear below). I like the old Husky but I will proudly wear this one knowing that Nike is getting a cut.

I'm happy with our new husky logo... I understand the 'excessive' American Flag blue because that color is part of the essence of UCONN. Which leads me to ask... Here's a real Husky:

I'm biased to anything navy blue-ish.. so I like them both only... But the NEW logo CLEARLY looks more like a Husky than the old logo... Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can probably see that....

IMO, edge: NEW LOGO... by a high margin... looking forward to seeing more of this edgier look UCONN is going with...

In hindsight though, I'd still wear the old stuff... UCONN is still UCONN regardless...

too, but I'm cool with the extra Natl flag blue that they decided on... it actually gives the husky more of a husky look... the all white looks less husky and more of something else... almost like a polar bear with Husky ears...

The new logo looks way too much like the Timberwolves logo and thats what I dont like. The all white version is UConn and should always be UConn.

This is a real Husky, also. And fits with about 50 years of UCONN tradition.
