Somebody from an NYC team wasn't there...

correction- I didn't recognize Kiah during the broadcast.

Nice! Ladies look great! Butler towers over Stewart and Stokes - must be her shoes!

.-.
Nice to see team managers, video coordinator and Rosemary as part of the group.

? Kiah was there - didn't recognize her at first, but back row on audience right of Butler.

No one fell off the dais and no bunny ears - all in all boring performance by Uconn women this time around!:):eek:

It was great to see the ceremony. President Obama seemed a little more subdued this year. Maybe, it's becoming so routine. Butler looked about 6'9" tall. I expect to see the team at the White House next year.year

Of course it was subdued - Stef wasn't there. Though Obama did say "no bunny ears" twice, so she definitely left an impression on the president.

The President's "no bunny ears" statement was probably included in the script at the express instruction of Chris Dailey.

NO school in America except the Penn State Womens VB team...........Win's NC like these 2 teams..........

Not being political at all, but Obama is the best president I have seen at these championship events - he is just so relaxed in the company of athletes and genuinely seems to be enjoying himself. Humorous and relaxed, and presidential at the same time is not an easy balance.

(Given the nature of political life these days, it is no wonder that an hour spent with a championship team is a welcome 'vacation')

And he went from the team to the King and Queen of Spain....probably not so relaxing....

Doesn't hurt that he's an athlete who really really really enjoy basketball

He played college basketball and his brother-in-law is a college coach. That's about as jock friendly as a family can get.

He definitely had some moments there, especially mugging during Geno's speech. Still, c'mon Mr. President, you've met the man five times, learn to pronounce his name.

(FWIW, I though Pres. Bush and Pres Clinton did a good job as well.)

When Ms Cox and her family visit UConn, they will surely see ten NC banners in Gampel and all the hardware in the Champions Center. But where does Geno display all the photos of him at the White House, hobnobbing with several different presidents - home or office?

[On edit. Pics in the office so as to not distract guests from the bruschetta, vitello, pasta, chianti classico, and spumoni.]
