Live stream on UConn+ on uconnhuskies.com seems like it's free

Tv Stream quality was pretty good. Now I will probably pay for the other exhibition game.

It says "UConn Men's basketball vs Boston College (exhibition)"

Watching the NBC Sports Boston, Early Edition, broadcast now. I will know for sure in 20 minutes.

Why is everyone missing this?

Every UConn+ broadcast in history has been/will be free, so far, with the one exception of the MSU exhibition. (Which, is brilliant, as MSU fans will pay to see this game - we didn't have that worry for BCU).

Tuned in at 1am European Standard Time and it worked like a charm on my laptop. Video and audio quality were fine, no freezing up.

I'd never heard of UConn+ until a few weeks ago ... then when exploring, I saw a fee of $7 and said screw that (like games on Peacock and CBSSN)

Thank you for pointing out that it's free ... much respect

The games they broadcast may be free, but how many games do they broadcast?

This isn’t a shot at boomers but my parents still pay for/watch regular cable and have very little knowledge of streaming apps on smart TVs. I pay for their YouTube TV subscription, showed them how to use that plus other apps and their first question was “so how do I change it back if I want to watch regular TV”. I suspect streaming apps are uncharted waters for many here.

I am slightly outside the Boomer era, but completely identify ... had cable to the tune of $150/month my entire life

recently our condo building switched over to fiber $40/month w/ a billion channels and crackhead internet speed

If a game is not on my Dumb TV, it's not going to be watched, ha ...

I looked for the replay online, but couldn't find it. I'm not sure if I'm missing it or if the deal from NBC Sports Boston to simulcast didn't include a replay option. I couldn't find it on YouTube either.

How old are your parents? Most "boomers" that I know fully get and embrace streaming options, but your description reminded me of similar conversations I had with my "greatest generation" parents. Always fun, am I right?

I guess a little older than boomers but there have been multiple threads with people getting the pros and cons of cutting the chord which made me assume there are plenty who haven’t.

Go back and run a search for threads where they list the age of yarders. There are plenty of significantly older posters on here.

Alrighty well then I don’t have an explanation for why no one knows about UConn+. Although I always watch on the Fox Sports App because I find that when I watch there vs FS1 on Hulu they win more. Just trying to do my part.

No, my point was there are a lot pretty seasoned people on The Boneyard. I graduated in 1982 and a lot of them are significantly older than I am. It makes sense that they would not be familiar or comfortable with streaming.

Should have checked UConn+ 😉
I looked for it, but could not find it on the UCONN+ app on my TV. There were a bunch of other sports like soccer and field hockey, but not this particular game. Even when I did a limited search just for men's basketball it didn't show up. I'll go back and check tonight just out of curiosity, maybe it took a while to post?

In any event, I am covered thanks to @drayenob. I'm looking forward to watching the game, though I get a sense it was flawed in many respects. I definitely want to see how Smith did with the point guard duties, and how Mullins and Reibe looked. It'll be good to be watching Husky basketball again!
