really, really impressing me on d. kanter (who is huge) has tried to back him down 6 or 7 times and only been successful once. andre is all over the passing lanes as well

thabeet and drummond play tomorrow and lamb plays friday

Andre was definitely the best defensive player on the floor, he was super active and Kanter couldn't back him down at all. We all know he's a work in progress on offense, he didn't have many opportunities offensively but hit 2 nice jumpers, he's the worst ft shooter ever. Kendall Gill was very impressed with him, I think Andre starts for the Pistons right away because he is already ready on defense and the only way to learn and improve is with playing time.

Somewhere between Storrs and Detroit Andre found the move that he laid on the dude at 28 seconds of that video. You'll note the relatively high ball release. You'll note the Kobe-esque form. You'll also note, if you are astute, that Andre adding that shot to his repertoire, if in fact he has, is one giant step toward achieving the status of "unguardable." Crazy nice looking shot.
I'm super impressed with what Andre has done and the strides he's making. The free throws are a head game, and he'll be passable at those at some point. It's impossible that a man can hit a fading 15 footer smoothly and not eventually get his free throws over 45% ish.
I'm ready to state already that the guy is going to be a very good to unstoppable pro. Watching him in those highlights and it's tough to see how the dude could possibly bust. He's just too big, too athletic, and has too good of a natural defensive sense.
He's becoming a monster.
