As we near the season’s midpoint, it struck me that many of the top-performing players nationally man the post position for their teams. It could make the positional award (Lisa Leslie) for best center interesting. It’s probably Boston’s (incumbent two-time winner and likely NPOY), but I wanted to point out how much talent there is at the 5 spot this year:
As a side note, it’s always interesting to me how these positional lists are constructed. Michigan’s Hillmon is listed as a 4, but she’s as much a traditional 5 to me as one can be: limited range beyond paint, glass cleaner, incredibly efficient.
