This game should be a good measuring stick to gauge the bench player’s development. We already know CKJH plays a heavy bench rotation. I’m interested to see the bench sustain a lead and play good team ball.

UT 88-60 Lipscomb

26-11 TEN end of first

Davis 10 pts, 4 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk

This is a rough 2nd quarter to say the least. Both these teams jacking up shots like they are the golden state warriors.

36-19 TEN at the half

Davis 12 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk

Didn’t add much in the second.

I was thinking back when Lauren played at Tennessee. I always remember that game she came up big against Vanderbilt. Good to see Ariel back at TBA.

In watching this game and then the first half of the Texas A&M game, I am really hoping Tennessee shows up to play the Aggies. I know Lipscomb is much better than NW St but the LV still only had 13 assists and 18 turnovers, yikes. Horston has not stepped up as was expected. Not sure what to make of this team...

Tennessee is solid team, not elite. They look good at times and will play a bit out of control at times. They will finish somewhere between 5-7 probably in the conference this year. They still have ways to go before competing for a SEC title.

They are better coached under Harper overall but talent is down from when Holly was HC, although it means nothing to have that talent and be that poorly coached.

#4? Hmm, let me count- 1. SC 2. AK 3. TAM 4. MSU 5. Tenn...ok 5-7, close enough. Tenn will not be finishing in the top 4 unless one of those teams quits the season.

I am curious about whether Georgia, Alabama or Ole Miss are actually any good or if it's a function of their schedule.

Ole Miss is better automatically adding Austin, Scott and getting those transfers eligible. They are still bottom tier though BUT they are taking a step in the right direction. Georgia and Alabama are middle of the pack, not great but not dumpster fire bad (see Vandy, Auburn and. LSU). I think both should contend or be on the bubble to make NCAAT.

With tonight's double double Davis (32nd) ties Catchings for 6th all time at Tennessee.

Alaska is now in the SEC? And ranked 2nd?

That's right! On the next road trip, South Carolina has to travel to Nome by dog sled to play the mighty Wolves of Alaska and deliver the vaccines. That's definitely a grueling road trip if I ever heard of one!
