More and more people commenting on the head-scratching decision by the Naismith and Wade awards selection committees to exclude Napheesa as a finalist for both awards.

I am guessing that most (misinformed) voters were figuring that our Huskies were not going to succeed in the Big Dance and therefore Pheesa would no longer be getting any print.
She/they showed them!!!

Due to the sheer number of great UConn players, there is now a bias against or a higher standard being held for our Lady Huskies. Each year should be it's own evaluation, not taken in conjunction of past winners...The ultimate revenge would be winning the NCAA Title and MOP Award!

To be clear, Lexie hasn't been in Hungary for several weeks. She's been following the tourneys the same way the rest of us in the United States has been. Elizabeth Williams, on the other hand, is weighing in from Turkey. It's always cool to see players from around the world still following their alma maters all season long and you can really see who some of the basketball junkies are by how much other basketball they pay attention to from afar.

The blatant anti-UCONN bias diminishes the notoriety and prestige of these awards. The winners will not have been measured against the best competition for these awards.

at UConn yes but to be accurate, multiple players aroundWCBB have reached those numbers. Off the top, Gustafson, Anigwe ...
