Here's what I sent to him.

Warde-

Never been more embarrassed as a Uconn football team than tonight.

This is the coaching staff you chose to retain.

Same things as last season. The offensive line is confused and gets run through, team unprepared coming out of timeouts and change of possessions, no passion, no second half points and key penalties that kill momentum.

I read a Jeff Jacobs article in the Courant this week saying Bo told you to trust your eyes and what they see.

I have seen the Rent electric after wins against Pittsburgh, WVU, Syracuse, USF and L'ville. I've seen the Rent heartbroken with losses to Navy and Rutgers.

But I've never seen a crowd so indifferent because they knew what they were going to see next.

The results on the field are entirely predictable based off the leadership you have chosen to retain and hire.

Fire them or resign.

Uconn fans deserve better. We see what the basketball teams do and we see what the soccer, baseball and track teams do.

This is entirely reminiscent of Dom Perno's last few seasons before Jim Calhoun was hired.

Leadership matters and so should Uconn.

With PP as the head coach Uconn football players get neither. And they deserve better for all of the time and energy they put in to the program.

Just sent this to Warde, hopefully there will be many, many more from fans.

Warde,
Tonight's game was an abysmal showing for our University. As an alumn I am completely embarrassed by what was put on the field tonight. I attribute this to the continued obscenity that is the football coaching staff. Another season has kicked off and we see the same clueless, unprepared staff guiding this program into the ground. I am sure that like many other people associated with UConn, I am not the first to call for the firing of the head coach and his entire staff except for T.J. Weist.
Please consider the damage that the current staff is doing to not just the reputation of the school, but the interest of the fans. The severe drop in season ticket sales should have been the first red flag that something needed to be changed, and if actions are not taken immediately, I can see those sales dropping further.
When considering how to proceed with the rest of the season, consider what one of your mentors told you, as was reported, trust your eyes. This performance tonight does not pass the eye test let alone the smell test. If you want fans in the seats for kick-off, give us a reason to be there. I am fully prepared to be in the stands an hour before kick-off if changes are made. If they aren't, and we lose to Michigan/Maryland by 50... good luck finding anyone in the stands for the rest of this season and those to come.
