UConn Basketball Champions Center

Dear Husky Fans:

We're off to a great season of UConn basketball, with the #1 Women winning in solid form against then-#3 Stanford, then-#8 Maryland and then-#13 Penn State, and the #18 Men starting off strong with wins against BC, Detroit, Maryland, BU and Yale. The next few weeks will offer many chances to see some great basketball...check out the men's and women's schedules.

If you haven't been to Storrs recently, you're missing out on seeing firsthand the transformation of the UConn Basketball Champions Center. We wanted to take a moment to share some construction photos from this week with you, and express our gratitude for your ongoing support of this historic project. Click on the thumbnail on the right or this link to see the progress on-site.

You may have noticed one transformation already: the name. The UConn Basketball Champions Center is a fitting title to a facility that honors our past and develops our future national champion basketball programs. As we continue to successfully fundraise for naming opportunities in the center (see the current list of reserved spaces), we look forward to adding another name to the front and making a lasting mark on the future of UConn Athletics.

We hope to see you at a game soon, and we thank you for your support of UConn Basketball. Should you have any questions about the philanthropic options available at the UConn Basketball Champions Center, please contact our development office at (860) 486-3863 or uconnclub@foundation.uconn.edu.

Go Huskies!

Love the renderings of it. Going to be state of the art and a great feather in our recruiting cap.

Sounds a lot better than Development Center.
And much better than Center for kids who can't read good (that all the other schools have)...

Like the Champions' Center moniker. Must have new writers on staff in the AD.

I think the Boneyard should take up a collection for the naming rights to the basketball equipment storage closet or perhaps one of the restrooms.

I wouldn't use a restroom called the Boneyard, personally.

Equipment Room would be much more fitting as "The Boneyard"
