So what's the best way to get this letter in the hands of all the "experts" out there who are appalled that we would propose our own sanctions?

Between her jettisoning Hathaway and her handling of this travesty, Herbst has impressed the hell out of me as a hands-on leader of our university.

Send a return receipt letter from you personally to the designated target. If you are bold enough make it personal and send it directly to the targets personal residence. Find a source that can provide you with that information. Obviouisly this is an aggressive approach. Fighters that win are aggressive.

JMHO of course.

Does anyone really think this letter will change even one mind outside the tribe? It's addressed to the intended audience - friends. I don't see how this letter helps things.

She writes too many letters. I'm tired of hearing from Herbst on everything. Plus I cringe when anyone makes the argument that this punishes students that had nothing to do with the APR. It may be true but you're forgetting to mention that the primary intent is to punish the program.

Frankly, I think this could ultimately end up in court. I don't see how the NCAA gets away with changing the rules retroactively. Take away a scholarship ? That's one thing. Ban the team from post-season play for what happened 2 years ago based on a rule that was passed 5 months ago ? WTF ?

The NCAA didn't make a retroactive rule but made a rule with clawback power which is clearly intended to harm schools that can't win even if they made the necessary changes to be in compliance. Sue them.

It is time someone took the NCAA to court and it might as well be UConn.

Waquoit the next positive thing you say will be the first. Sorry but your attitude stinks on all things UConn lately.

The worst thing about this is the new standards acting retroactively.
