What's the focus of our recruiting efforts right now?
Who do you think we'll sign? When?

It will be interesting to see the impact of all the recent publicity Hurley and UConn have gotten.

hopefully Dan is calling Thomas, Bundalo and Mullins today if he hasn't already. Strike while fire is hot, and it'll NEVER be hotter than right now (I'll revise this last statement after the three-peat :))

A stud lead guard, a lefty athletic AK replacement and a lights out shooter. All rising in the rankings. All heady players.

I have a feeling our next big is going to be a transfer. 2025 is pretty light on talented post players. The top-75 talent is all like 220lbs or less. We haven't really been linked with any centers in the class.

Are you viewing Niko Bundalo as a stretch 4 as opposed to a "big". He seems to have some rim protection chops even though he's a little llght right now.

I don't see a world in which we're putting a 6'10 200lb kid as a starting center. In my mind, he's a PF that kind of bridges the gap between what we have with AK and what we had with Akok. Plenty of length and athleticism, but a bunch of skill too.

I agree that the coaching staff should strike while the iron is hot. DH has been the topic of discussion since going back to back and even more so with the Laker offer. This coaching staff knows what they are doing and I am confident they are taking advantage of all this publicity that has been coming their way.

Imagine what the staff could do with a #1 overall recruit. I wasn’t even thinking about Cooper Flagg but if we got a freak like Dybantsa it would definitely reinforce our current trajectory and possible dynasty.

Add AJ Dybantsa as a need.
What's the scoop on AJ? It seems like we never hear his name mentioned?

Are we really in on him? Do his decisions to play prep ball in Cali and UT signal anything in terms of his college preference?

Not 100% sure but he hasn't mentioned UConn in any of the interviews he's done since last summer. There was a report that Hurley watched his games at an AAU event in the last few weeks. Curious to see if he mentions UConn at all in his next interview. I'm sticking with my prediction that UConn is not recruiting him now. But it's recruiting and things do change.
