WCBB and WNBA have the worst refs in any sport in the USA! I watch a lot of WBB and every ref I've watched stunk! You would think for $600 to $800 a game they'd be better!
Inconsistency, the game is too fast for refs to keep up with, they work 5 to 6 games a week all over the country and travel, and games have to take a toll on them!
Incompetent is a compliment to WBB referees!
I love the under the basket charge/block call made from the 1/2 court line!
Almost 90% of screens are moving screens and they're called or not called at whim!
There are refs, such as Dee Kantner, that hate certain coaches/schools and get assigned to all that schools big games!
The main problem with the referees is each conference has a Supervisor of officials who most certainly is an ex-official and is friends with the refs she's/he's in charge of! Can you say conflict-of-interest!
How with the new "no-touch" rules can 2 players collide and fall to the court and NO foul is called!
The block/charge call is easy! If the offensive player lowers her shoulder on contact, it's a charge, it has to be!
The WNBA refs are worse than college but both stink big-time!
