11 football schools and 11 basketball only schools. I'd add Memphis and Temple to SMU, Houston, and UCF along with Butler and Xavier. The Big East remains the best hoops conference in the country.

I think Philly and ECU will get added at some point. Maybe from attrition, maybe not. The Philly decision can be put on hold while the other 6 are added..

When things settle I guarantee you their president will "still be exploring all options regarding the upgrade". They should be told not to even bother.

Yep.

One has 9 National Championships, Heisman Trophy Winners, Numerous NFL Legends, and plays in an NFL stadium.

One can't draw flies at I-AA despite success and wants to play in an MLS stadium.

They're exactly the perfect replacement.
