This is an awesome game that everyone should tune into.

I have LBSU as my sleeper team so I kinda want them to win but I can't help but rooting for D Walker. Everyone should read Play Their Hearts Out by Pulizter Prize winning author George Dohrmann. Amazing story about Demetrius Walker, the supposed "next Lebron James" in 6th grade who commited to USC, went to ASU, and is now a good player for UNM.

It really is an an amazing book which will disgust you if you follow HS hoops.

Sorry, walker11, didn't mean to sound douchey. The book sounds depressing, though. And watching this game I'm more captivated by the kid who looks like charley from the original willy wonka movie (from NM). I'm rooting for Long Beach St too, but the clock is now against them.

I realize I have no credibility but I really can't recommend this book more. Basically, a reporter rides with this dirty up and coming AAU guy who makes his name off this 6th grader Demetrius Walker who is the "best" in his grade and he follows him until he is a senior in high school and you really see the despicable nature of AAU hoops. It is fun reading about D Walker and his games vs. fellow middle schoolers (who are now playing at schools like UNC and Louisville).

I'll have to pick up this book, the article in SI from their vault was pretty good, I'd imagine a book could get even more in depth with his story.
