I want this to happen.

I def don't want this to happen. Shabazz is the type of kid who should play with stars right away. Spurs and Heat would be good. One exception would the Celtics even though that's not the case there right now.

I also want him to go to a well run organization who doesn't blow high lottery picks.

Being a Knicks fan it's pains me to say I want Bazz to end up with the Heat. Ouch that hurts. But I think Chalmers is a free agent so Bazz could come in, play meaningful minutes, and maybe win a title right away

It's already so easy to root for the freakin' Charlotte Hornets being back, especially with Kemba on the roster. Bazz ending up there would make it even better, IMO.

Plus the Hornets aren't a true threat to win anything significant, so even as a huge Celtics fan it's ok to root for them.

I don't know if its a good thing for Bazz to go to the Hornets. Him and Kemba would be competing for the same 'paid' position. With both being so damn confident, I just can't see it working out. Unless perhaps the NBA isn't as cut-throat as I imagine it to be.

Idk if that'll really be a problem. Bazz is gonna be a backup for a couple years on just about any team. And i wouldn't be too surprised to see Kemba move on from Charlotte after next season anyway

If he goes to the heat, I wouldn't be surprised to see him start. Or at least get the majority of minutes. I forget if this is Chalmers last year or not. Between Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Allen, there's no pressure there.

Norris Cole would slide into the starting position most likely but Bazz could definitely step up and take the backup minutes

How good is Norris Cole? (not much reference here)

Cole is pretty good. I'm not sure if he's good enough to be a starter in this league, but on the Heat it probably wouldn't matter. The Heat have been at their best this postseason with Cole playing along side Wade, 'Bron, Bosh, and Chris Anderson. He's a really good defender who defended Kemba at a far higher level than did Chalmers when they played the Bobcats earlier in the postseason. He's quick enough to guard isolation's and thin enough to slide through picks. Hell, he even was able to lock down Lance Stephenson from time to time allowing LeBron to slide over and guard George Hill. Offensively, he's sort of limited, but he's a good enough three point shooter where defenses at least have to guard him, and I imagine he could put up decent numbers in a situation that called for him to create more.

I still think Indiana would be a great situation for Shabazz. With George Hill falling out of favor with a lot of people, he'd have a very real chance to play starters minutes on a championship contender, and Indiana's upper-echelon defense would neutralize any adjustments he'd have to make at the next level defensively.

All of this.. plus Spoelstra has been showing more trust in Cole than Chalmers when it gets to crunch time.. I don't think Chalmers played at all in the 4th quarter of 2 of the last 3 games
