BCS would handle only the championship game and the BCS bowls would go back to the old system of conference tie-ins like when the Sugar Bowl always took the SEC champ.

Doubt that any of the now BCS bowls would want to be locked in and have to take the BE champ every year because most of the schools left in the BE and being proposed to be added are problematic as far as team strength and ability to sell tickets and travel. Of course, a quality BE team, top 10, would get considered but an 8-4 team would not.

The best of the proposed solutions.

1) Each Conference champion has their own Bowl Affiliation. There are 11 Bowl Affiliations. Visiting teams are not subject to minimum ticket sales.

2) The BCS Game Stadium is negotiated bid each year as it is in the Super Bowl. No mandated ticket sales.

3) The at large field match-ups are selected by the Conference Champs in order of the Champions BCS finish. at-large teams can't decline or negotiate.

4) The Two Bowls losing teams to the BCS get the #2 teams from their conferences by default.

Here's the dispute: Do Two Bowls losing teams to the BCS select the best of the rest after the 9 other conferences select or before (Favored by the Big 4 conferences to create Super #2 versus #2 matchups. ) ?
