That team has chemistry issues. In fighting over leadership, the best perimeter defender and best 3 point shooter was kicked off the team in August. One of our bigs Nix who is now a senior did not make the trip and was considering his future, whether he wanted to stay at MSU or not. Kalin Lucas was coming off an Achilles injury. Izzo even had to kick another guard off the team in December. That team had so many problems and took so much out of Izzo he almost considered retirement.

Last year's team rejuvenated Izzo. Izzo has a very versatile, very talented, very athletic team. The problem is half the team knows their role, but half the team is learning their roles and where they fit in. I expect MSU to win tonight because of their front court and rebounding.

UConn can win if MSU turns the ball over a lot and shoots a low free throw percentage.
