SMU has a football team?

Yes. They won 10 games last year.

This is about the idiots running UConn into the abyss with poor communications.
How could a Edsall not know this was coming?
Did the AD not know either?

Regardless of what I think about the program, the coaches and players deserve to be treated properly,

I did not hear the press conference today - anyone?

I wonder if someone asked a question regarding the travel ban and sports and Lamont answered the way he did or did he just blurt it out unprompted?

Doesn't answer the question on how the subject came up..

>>Logistically, it wouldn’t be possible for UConn to travel to Mississippi for an Oct. 24 game, for example, and return home to play Liberty seven days later. UConn would face a similar issue, traveling to North Carolina Nov. 7, San Jose State Nov. 14 and then playing Middle Tennessee State at home Nov. 21. Athletes, coaches and other team personnel arriving to Connecticut would also be subject to a 14-day quarantine. Middle Tennessee State in the only team currently in a hot spot state that is scheduled to travel to Connecticut.

Still months away, it remains to be seen what the infection rate would look like state-by-state months from now. Connecticut has been able to contain the virus, with continued declining COVID-19 hospitalizations, but hot spots have spread in the South, Midwest and West in recent weeks causing concern that travelers could bring the virus to Connecticut with them.<<

We are tentatively playing football in the Spring. This is all nonsense, just ignore it for now. We are an easy 6 months from playing games on a normal schedule and that presumes no second wave of COVID.

So we’re supposed to believe that wasn’t a sarcastic tweet? Because that was 100% sarcasm

As I said, dumb on multiple levels (suggest Edsall not try to be a comedian... not really in his wheel house)

If you do the math-Uconn or their opponent would have to quarantine for two weeks before each game. So a 10 game season would last 20 weeks or 5 months.
First independent season should wrap up on Feb 1

LOL nice math! Current quarantine states UMass, Maine and Army would not need two weeks.
