Winning streaks collide at Pauley Pavilion.

Also, UConn is a streak killer.

"UConn also has ended three of the longest home winning streaks in the sport, defeating Stanford in 2012 to end the Cardinal’s 82-game winning streak; defeating Tennessee in 1996 to end the Lady Vols’ 69-game winning streak and defeating Baylor in 2014 to end the Bears’ 69-game winning streak."

32 games is a winning streak? For UCONN it is just an average season.
It's a home winning streak, so even for UConn that would take 2+ seasons to accomplish. What is UConn's home winning streak? Was the last home loss to Stanford 3 years ago?

Per Wiki. The five longest home court winning streaks in D-I women's basketball have all involved the University of Connecticut.

  1. 99 games — Held by UConn, ended by St. John's
  2. 82 games — Held by Stanford, ended by UConn
  3. 69 games — Held by Baylor, ended by UConn
  4. 69 games — Held by UConn, ended by Duke
  5. 69 games — Held by Tennessee, ended by UConn

last losses were in 2012/13 to ND, Baylor, and then ND in the BE final. They then started a 47 game winning streak ended by Stanford on the road, and then an 111 win streak ended by MS on a neutral court.
67 home win streak
34 road win streak
Both are active at this moment.

When UConn lost to Stanford, it was at Maples, not UConn.

UConn women visit UCLA, but for once it's the Bruins who are looking to extend a winning streak

Nice article. I knew about the UCLA home winning streak, but I hadn't even thought about UConn's road winning streak dating back to the Stanford game of three years ago.

It does have a mistake, though. It says that Jordin Canada had 20 points and 13 rebounds against Baylor. She had 13 assists, not rebounds. A pretty outlandish number.
