I know some people said they wouldn't be watching this tourney this year, well they are missing out. This has been a fantastic tournament so far, another great finish with La Salle winning. Miami Illinois is close and so is Duke Creighton, let's get some more upsets.

The best catholic basket team on the east coast (with as many titles as any other east coast catholic school).

I watched their play-in game against Boise St. and thought they looked incredibly confident, mature and like a team that could beat some people.

La Salle hasn't been this far in the tourney since the mid '50s. Good to see them knock off some power conference schools along the way.

If UConn can't be in the tourney, the double-digit seeds advancing still make it worth while to watch.

Didn't Holy Cross win one? Hang on, I'll google it...

Yup, beat Oklahoma in the '47 championship game

Also beat Navy and CCNY.

Now here comes Butch to tell us we should invite Holy Cross and LaSalle to the America Metro 12...
Eastern catholic schools with titles are Holy Cross, LaSalle, Georgetown & Villanova. Each has one (for the record San Francisco has two).
