This is a comment from the local paper (in SC) and I am just posting a small part because it is behind a paywall and it's all I received.....the brace is off and the former No.2 ranked recruit is ready to show what she brings to the table. This was sent to me by a Gamecock friend so I know it's legit....

Boston herself has also noted that Amihere, or “LA” as her teammates call her, stepped up in offseason and competed well, bringing a “dog mentality” to practice.

At 6-foot-4 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, Amihere’s physical tools are unquestioned. Her reach alone made her a shot-blocking threat last season, to the tune of a 7.4% block rate, 88th in the nation per Her Hoop Stats. But she also flashed upside as an outside threat too, shooting 7-of-13 on 3-pointers and showing good form on mid-range jumpers.

I would like to see Amihere have a breakout season if not she could find herself sitting behind Saxton for 2 years, and then she could end up sitting behind Feagin for 2 years after that.

She’s the most slept on this year. What she’s going to do this year shouldn’t surprise people but I think it will.

I get the same feeling that's how it will be perceived. It's unfortunate her injuries while in high school held her back for a couple seasons. Coming back from two, let alone one, ACL injuries isn't easy. It's good to learn that the brace is off.

From what I remember seeing before she was injured, and the comment about the "dog mentality" from her team mates, the SEC has been given fair warning. ;)

Just hoping and praying things go well for these players.

I don't see a paywall and just read the whole thing from the Charlotte Observer November 18th. Greg Hadley tweeted it out on Nov 18th.

Many sites allow x number of free reads per month before the paywall goes up.

They usually tell you about it and how many you will have left. I did not get any warning about x reads left.

Should have been a Husky.

The Charlotte Observer is owned by the same publishing company as The State which is where this came from. They absolutely will block you after a few trips there...lol...trust me...they allowed me a few times before the "become a subscriber" banner jumped up.

LA has a phenomenal skillset; I'm ready to see what she can do.
2019 Recruting clas..as a sophmore in this class...she was rated the #1 player btw -then knee injuries Junior/Senior high school years derailed that

Yep and I hope we see that version this season.
