They were all good students coming in.

None of the freshmen were listed. It takes time to figure things out.

A kinesiology major sounds difficult to me - would take a Swiss Army knife to cut thru it - and she did! Hope she comes back next year for her grad studies and works as an assistant coach....

Kelly is achieving amazing success this year. Congrats to her and the rest.

Kiah is really smart. Her mom is an M.D., and she may want to be one as well.

I recall a former player who was on this list every semester. She was also the National Academic POY (or whatever the award was called). She just won a Chinese League championship. Maya Moore, the ultimate overachiever. :)

Mystery Solved.
According to John, the award is for last Spring's results.
The Freshmen weren't here yet.

Covered 2012 spring and/or fall semesters.

"During intermission, after the Huskies ran out to a 62-17 lead over the Golden Eagles, UConn honored all the school’s student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better during either the spring semester of the last academic year or this year’s fall semester."
