Conventional wisdom has it that "You don't want to be the man who replaces THE MAN."
KO has already destroyed that line of thinking. Even if we weren't going to win the whole thing (which of course we are) KO will never again be thought of as chasing JC's legacy.
He's already created his own rep, and is working on a genuine legacy.
