Guys, she hit the freshman wall. She'll either push through it and be OK or she won't. Considering how competitive she is, I'm thinking she'll push through sooner than later.

I agree Nan. Plus she has been rushing her shots the last few games. Probably trying too hard. Hopefully, she will calm down and start hitting her shots again. The difference between a rim out and a make is not much--she will be OK.

+1 You are right on Ice.

I have gone back and watched some of her early games when her shot was dead on. Her trajectory was higher. And her tempo was slower. The "hard" or "soft"
shot comes from tempo and rhythm.

i.e. KML is hurrying her shot just a little bit -- which is probably the result of a little doubt (loss of confidence)in her inner self.

It is easier for us to see this than it is for Kaleena to fix it.
Thanks. I was wondering what the expert thought.

She seems to shoot best when she catches and shoots. Of late, she sometimes will dribble a few times, then pull up and shoot.
As someone noted, she plays pretty good defense, and she was the 2nd leading rebounder in the Duke game. How many freshmen average 14 points/game?

Right, Bill Bradley was a great shooter(misses were mostly rim outs).

I look at it differently...yes, she missed a bunch, but when the going got tough in the critical point in the second half, she focused and hit a 3 when we needed one. This is something that should exorcize any self doubt since ND o/t loss.

I agree. I've had the pleasure of watching both in warmups. Along with EDD and maybe DT, they were as good as I've seen. Misses are very, very rare.
