Morgan was fantastic tonight. She is masterful under the basket in her ability to get a clear layup. 7=9 FG including 2=2 3pt. Her longer shots are dropping.

Morgan will surprise a lot of teams this year... She will be the Ninga (Silent Killer) on the floor while they worry about: Stewie, KML, Dolson and Hartley.

When she has the ball around the net she's deadlier than a rattlesnake in a telephone booth [remember them?].

The great thing is that her teammates understand that and love getting her the ball

BEST: Well put..."masterful" about sums it up. We were talking about that earlier this evening: her ability to get a decent ("clear") shot doesn't show only under the basket. And it doesn't show only after she gets the ball. She is terrific at getting herself in position to receive the ball, and then has the ability to deliver once she gets it. I see this in her away from the basket as well as under it. She has never been shy about getting a shot off, and she knows how to position herself both inside and outside to maximize the chance of getting the ball and a decent shot.

SON: well, I remember rattlesnakes for sure....and phone booths. But not in relationship to one another. Was there some particular story or piece of history to which you were alluding there? Sounds interesting.

Not really, just high odds for the snake to score.

Morgan would start on almost every other team in the country. Maybe she would have last year too.

In Geno's assessment of the team, he said it plainly: Kaleena is the best player on the team. In my view, perhaps for the 3rd year in a row.
