First, Football is king at LSU. Right now however, No one but Clemson is at Alabama's level. That's like saying that everyone in the NBA should fire their coaches because they can't beat Golden State (Lebron's Cleveland is Clemson). LSU is not going to have 3 coaches in 6 years because of that. No way. And LSU is getting better, they are bringing in coaching that will help them move more into a spread team to be able to play Alabama more tough. I think the fact LSU reinstated Will Wade and then fired Alleva is because they chose Wade. Unless something more comes up, I think Wade will be the coach of LSU basketball for years to come. On the discussion board, tiger fans are saying the Woodward should make sure he locks up Will Wade to a longer contract. Secondly, Fargas has been underwhelming as a coach at LSU. Obviously Baylor is paying more for Mulkey than LSU is paying for Fargas because they are two totally different coaches. You can't assume the price LSU is paying Fargas means they wouldn't pay Mulkey. I'm not saying LSU will break bank for Mulkey, but they would consider paying her especially if she could bring LSU back to where they were in 4 straight Final Fours. Obviously, everyone was joking about Mulkey coaching the men's team. I did put "lol" after the statement. I just said that to show the fondness of Mulkey by the LSU fans. All I'm saying is that LSU has no glaring program in the major sports. And no one can deny that women's sports are on the rise. LSU softball and gymnastics constantly pack the PMAC and Tiger Park. Women's basketball is a sport that is struggling right now. I was just intrigued with the thought of Kim Mulkey at LSU. I never said that Kim Mulkey would be crazy not to chose LSU over Baylor. I as saying that LSU would be crazy to not think about Kim Mulkey coaching at LSU. oh I agree with everything you said. But in the minds of LSU fans, Football and Basketball aren’t the problems right now. They are pretty content with Ed O (right now, tomorrow it could be different) and they absolutely love Will Wade. I wouldn’t call LSU being a top 10 school in football a “rough transition”. No one other than Clemson is challenging Alabama right now. They may be getting a little tired of PM in baseball, but he always have a successful program. And obviously Kim Mulkey coaching Men’s basketball wasn’t serious, I was just saying that because she is liked by many LSU fans. Just because Fargas gets paid less money than Mulkey doesn’t mean LSU wouldn’t want to pay Mulkey. Furthermore, Alleva gave Fargas the contract and he’s gone now.
