Well-deserved tribute to a fine young woman. I'd love to see her make AA this year as well but whether or not she achieves this honor she'll be #1 in the hearts of her Canadian fans (and just a few of us Americans as well).

"I never thought I was any good." LOL! That's one humble young woman -- starting since her third game at the best college program in the world; key player on the Canadian national team at, what, 19, but not any good.

I've said it before, Kia is so well-spoken and such a good representative for UConn. I can imagine countless younger girls saying "I want to be like her."

It feels as if she's been here for a lot longer than four swiftly passed years but then I realize, in a way, she has. UConn always seems to have that one player who draws the line in the sand and is the human equivalent of the steel rod they hang the banners on.

I noticed this kid in the video and her pure admiration for Kia. I really like this snippet. Now that I have really looked at the snippet, I noticed the girl in the background with the same admiring face. Kia is having an influence on the young girls in Canada.
