If Kia Nurse doesn't get a swelled head over all the nice things said about her after the Pan Am games, she never will. All the honors she had heaped upon her were earned through hard work and aggressive play. I'm so proud of her!!. I can see Geno this coming season---Kia, 34 points tonight, if you can do it for Canada, you can do it for UConn!! Please note she is expected to get more for Uconn.

It's been quite a year for Kia. The Canadian's UConned the USA team, which is not easy but definitely possible for a team whose core has been together for years, not a few weeks. But Kia was on top of the heap, unflappable and charging. Some here a while back were thinking she'd lose her starting spot this year. I don't think so.

I got ridiculed early last season when I posted the question of how long it would take for Kia to replace Saniya as a starter. I was accused of disliking Saniya, etc when in fact I felt she was better than Saniya and if that was the case, UCONN would be a stronger team to have both.
