This 6-5 post player will probably carry Christ the King (Sue Bird's alma mater) of NY to the championship. They are ranked #5 in the nation. She led a balanced attack in the opening game. She faces a more formidable opponent in tonight's game. EDIT: Thank you for the corrections everyone. NATALIJA MARSHALL is the right player. While we're on the subject of height, ONO is interesting because her hair is up in a bun 6-8" high. I'm going to say 6-6.

Khadija Demry is 5'7" guard at CTK, The 6'5" post player with UCONN interest is Natalija Marshall. Marshall will be matched up tonight against Olivia Nelson- Ododa ( if healthy) a UCONN signeee. Bonus: Both Tina Charles and Sue Bird are CTK & UCONN alumni.

I just checked their roster and Demry is listed as a guard at 5'6".

Natalija Marshall is a soph...6'4" and very highly ranked.
They also have another soph at 6'4"....Alayah Brown....don't know about her evaluations....yet.

Hasn't CTK been a bit 'down' the last few years....at least on the national level? Sounds like they are back!

Here is a link...I hope...to some thoughts on Natalija's game.

BTW: January 13...Friday...7:30...CTK will be up here at Springfield College playing local Enfield High.
Might be a great chance to check out all this high school talent....with a special eye for Natalija.
Enfield is a good local team....whether they can stay with a nationally ranked team is another story.
They do have some height...Mary Baskerville....6'3"...headed to Providence next year.
UConn did take a look at Mary early in her career.

ONO spent most of the first three quarters on the pine, drinking water. She played enough to win the game in OT. She did show ball-handling and foul-shooting ability. Her long arms created problems for opponents.

Hopefully you are in Myrtle Beach watching the game- so jealous.
Great news that ONO is well enough to play.

Natalija Marshall can best be described as ONO's younger sister. She handles the ball well, executed a nice step through, and pretty much played ONO even. The game was decided when ONO missed a FT with 6.5 seconds left. There is no shot clock in SC, so this was a low scoring game with Chris the King holding a slight lead and sitting on the ball against a 2-3 zone. The show belonged to junior PG Kaelynn Satterfield, who looked like the power forward. She ran the offense and scored the crucial hoop near the end.

As I mentioned in the recruit thread, Nelson-Ododa has not looked like herself this year. She struggled tonight: 2-7 shooting, 5-10 ft's, 6 rebounds, 5 turnovers. She has very little help and not much of an offense run around her, but then she didn't before the injury either.

Marshall had 12 points (5-12 fg) and 12 rebounds but committed 7 turnovers.

Wrap-up: Four games in four days took it's toll, and as everyone telegraphed their passes the defensive players prevailed. ONO and Marshall made the all- tournament team, but did not dominate. Christ The King won, led by MVP Kaelynn Satterfield. She showed incredible decision-making ability and controlled the offense from both the guard and forward positions. She appears bulky, but does not get beat downcourt, and you can't steal the ball from her. Most outstanding player went to a hard working forward named Carter, headed to Mississippi State. ONO needs to work the weights, as she gets pushed around underneath, but excels at all other aspects of her game. Marshall, a sophomore, will only get better.
