Davis/Gray combined 4 for 17 from the floor for 10 points with 9 turnovers
SC 2nd half FG%--- 26%
FT Uconn 10 for 10; SC 9 for 14
Rebounds Uconn 38; SC 36 (who would have predicted this?)
And, oh, Gabby had some pretty good individual stats

Wonder what Saniya's FT streak is at these days.

The numbers for Davis/Gray sound just like Diamond DeShields! 4 for 17 and 9 turnovers.

Both looked overwhelmed by the moment. Aja and to a lesser extent Coates played well but got no where the support they needed.

This game is such a confidence booster since we still won by double digits playing a "C" game.

We had a some things in our favor (home game) and we won by double digits over a top 5 team. This, despite:
  • Our starting guard, Kia Nurse, mostly MIA because of injury.
  • Two players playing most of second half with foul trouble, one, Nephesa, fouling out down the stretch.
  • Our leading scorer having an off game shooting (credit to SC).
Not bad. SC to their credit was gritty and plucky (as gamecocks should be).
